Winter holiday in Austria’s Alps

Winter sport beyond the ski slopes

The Arlberg is famous all around the world for its ski slopes. The options for winter athletes looking for an alternative to skiing are just as exciting and plenty. Discover the beauties of the wintery scenery in a quiet manner during cross-country skiing, ski touring, winter hiking and snowshoeing. Explore a completely new perspective in the skies: paragliding is a great possibility to see the Arlberg from above. A horse-drawn carriage ride is very romantic and anything but arduous – puffing quadrupeds take care of the sport while you can see all of the beautiful scenery. The Auriga reception always has daily suggestions for your holiday itinerary in the winter wonderland at hand.

Beyond the slopes with ski school Lech

Ski touring in Lech am Arlberg, Austria

The Arlberg is one of the most beautiful ski touring regions in Austria. Beginners and less experienced ski mountaineers in particular should only go beyond the slopes in the company of an experienced ski guide who can correctly assess both snow and weather. The ski school Lech offers group tours and private trips into the snow-covered mountains. The reward for the arduous ascent is the gorgeous deep-snow downhill slopes. Don’t sleep on the romantic full-moon ski tour.
