Our Four-Star Superior

Four stars, four hearts

A four-star superior hotel displays its stars for all to see. Our four stars, however,
represent the people—and companions—who, over three generations,
into what it is today.

First Star
Gotthard Strolz
Founder of the Hotel Auriga

Without him, the Auriga wouldn’t exist. With his own two hands, together with his two brothers, Gotthard Strolz built the house that is now home to our family. What he began was far more than just walls and rooms—it was a life’s work, driven by diligence, courage, and an unwavering focus on the future.

His great passion was skiing—as a state-certified ski instructor, he lived and breathed the mountains with every fiber of his being. Above all else, however, his family and his three dogs—faithful companions who walked alongside him through life—meant the most to him. They were his home, his happiness, his anchor.

We are truly grateful to you for everything you have built and passed on to us.

With love and gratitude · The Strolz Family
Second Star
Ingo & Alexandra Strolz
The Second Generation

In 1999, Ingo and Alexandra took over the property from Gotthard—and, with love, foresight, and a tireless drive for renewal, brought it to where it stands today. The guesthouse became a four-star superior hotel, growing step by step, yet always retaining the same family-oriented spirit. They have refined what Gotthard founded with innovation and dedication.

Third Star
Paul & Elisabeth
The Third Generation

Today, the third generation is ready to take the reins: Paul, Ingo’s nephew, together with his partner Elisabeth. With passion, ambition, and deep respect for what has been built, they are following in the family’s footsteps—determined to carry on the spirit of the Auriga while also venturing into new territory.

S
Fourth Star
The Dogs
The True Guardians of the House

And finally, our dogs—Ingo’s loyal companions, who remain an integral part of the Auriga to this day. They are the true guardians of the house and, in their own special way, express the love that is here for everyone. With their cuddly nature and warm personalities, they embody exactly what the Auriga stands for: genuine, heartfelt hospitality for everyone who visits us.
