Alexandra and Ingo Strolz—your hosts—are owners of some adorable furry friends themselves, so they know exactly what the ideal vacation with a dog in Austria should look like. But what can your four-legged friend expect at our dog-friendly hotel in Vorarlberg? In addition to their own food and water bowls , your dog will receive a cozy sleeping blanket, which is, of course, stylishly embroidered with the Hotel Auriga logo. When choosing your accommodations—whether a room, suite, or apartment—you’ll have complete freedom during your vacation with your dog. Dogs are allowed in the living areas and may accompany their owners to other areas of the Hotel Auriga, with the exception of the dining room and spa.

In the resort town of Lech, our four-legged friends are free to move about as nature intended, thanks to the lack of leash requirements. Your faithful friend will be by your side on winter hiking trails, and you won’t be alone when engaging in sports either. If you’re in the mood for cross-country skiing, your companion doesn’t have to stay behind—dogs are allowed on the trails. As an owner, however, you’re also responsible for your dog’s waste: Along all hiking trails and throughout the town, there are stations with waste bags and trash cans approximately every kilometer. You can also pick up waste bags at the front desk.

Since each dog is fed individually, we ask that you bring your own food for your pet. The variety of dry and fresh food, as well as special dietary foods, is so vast that we are unfortunately unable to provide dog food. Of course, food and water bowls for your four-legged friend are available in your room or apartment! If your dog needs to see a veterinarian, the staff at the front desk will be happy to help you schedule an appointment.
